For the first time in forever

  • The concert on Monday was honestly the best one I've ever been to. Maybe I'm just biased but I had the best time. Sarah came over around five and we headed out to Amsterdam about an hour later after pre-drinking a bit. We stopped by Julia's for dinner and got on the train which arrived right on time. We didn't even have to wait in line to go into the Ziggo Dome! The first opening act was somebody called PJ Morton which neither of us knew so we walked around the hall and both ended up buying posters because they were only five euros (and the only thing I could afford haha). Then Robin Thicke came out. I know he's quite the controversial artist and he has a reputation for being a complete dickwad but he's a really good performer and he does have a good voice so I thoroughly enjoyed myself. We had to wait a bit between the two opening acts before the main event but when Maroon 5 came out I swear I literally thought I was dying and was on my way to heaven. I was hardcore hyperventilating. They played literally all their biggest hits and Adam even did a couple of covers. I love how his voice sounds exactly the same on the tracks and live and the same for his personality. It was so funny after seeing him every week on The Voice to seeing him on a stage and see that everything translated amazingly. Suffice to say I was definitely deflated by the time the concert ended, but I will definitely be going to their next one, especially since Adam promised he and James (the blonde haired guy) would do a song in their underwear. Um yes please!

  • School this week has been okay so far. I've had my Ethics class, International Communications as well as Animation. I still don't even really know what my International Communications class is about but oh well. Still loving Animation; we're starting on Disney next week. I need to watch Pinnochio for the following Tuesday. I have my first group assignment due tomorrow, but because me and my group members all have different schedules it's been proving to be quite difficult to figure out when it is we're going to meet and how we need to do the stuff. Hopefully I can figure it out tonight after my Law and the Media class.

  • Last night was such a crazy time! Sarah came over for dinner. I cooked up a new recipe: chicken and rice in sweet chili sauce and I have to say that it tasted pretty good. I was quite impressed with myself as it was the first time I've made rice too haha. Then we started drinking and we wanted to play Cards Against Humanity but nobody we invited was answering our messages so we just went down to the basement and asked random people if they wanted to play. In the end I had quite the crowd here in my room: Carey, Cody, Ina, Lindsay, Martin, Catherine, Quinn and Kylie. It was my first time playing the game and even though I didn't really get it at first, I enjoyed it. Then we hit Keyzers. And holy shit I was off the train drunk. As I put it last night, I was 'white girl trailer trash wasted.' Lovely right? I come up with the weirdest shit when I'm drunk. Anyway I don't remember much of the night. There was dancing. Not a lot of drinking at the bar cause I didn't want to spend all my money. I think I left around three to get a chicken burger from the snackbar where I ran into Cody and Erik so then we all went to hang out in the basement in the dorms. Where I drank more. Oops. That would explain the massive hangover I have today. But it was a fun night; I don't think I got to bed until five or something. Definitely a great way to spend my last Tuesday as a twenty two year old.

  • So I heard from Koen. It only took him nearly three days of not hearing from me to finally get in touch but at least he did at all so I guess he was thinking about me. He messaged me before the concert to wish me a good time and we had a nice conversation. I had to call him because I had no internet in the hall; it was way too busy with people. I called him back when Blurred Lines came on because we have an inside joke with that song. And then he messaged me again yesterday evening. Apparently he's still coming to my birthday party on Saturday so we'll see how that all turns out. I just like that I finally know how to get his attention: by not giving him any.

I'm glad that you had a great time at the concert!

oof, sorry that you're suffering with a hangover right now. I guess that's a sign of a good time, haha.

I just like that I finally know how to get his attention: by not giving him any.

That's just how boys are, I suppose.

Thank you! I am too :) it definitely lived up to my expectations.

Haha the hangover was pretty terrible, but I rode it out. I probably should have stopped drinking after I left the bar but I was having a good time and that's what matters.

Boys are confusing, end of story. I've dated a fair share of them in my life and I still don't have them figured out.

I told you Maroon 5 in concert is AMAZING!!! Adam is a perfect human being. I am so happy you had a good time :)

That was the one thing I hated in college, the group projects. None of us were available until at least sunday and that sucked because I liked to use my Sundays as a rest day., I hope that you can find time for it!

You'll have to let me know all about your birthday party this weekend; especially with Koen going! Have a ton of fun!

Well, I had seen them before, but I just didn't love them a lot back then. Now was like a completely different experience and yes Adam is a perfect human being. His fiancee is a lucky bitch.

I hate group projects with a passion. It's really difficult trying to find a time to meet up and collaborate everything. I'm glad we got it finished in the end, but ugh, the stress was so not appreciated.

Oh I will definitely recount the events of the party, especially since Koen is not mad at me for some reason or the other. But he's still coming on Saturday. We shall see what happens ^^

Glad you enjoyed the concert! =)

I love Cards Against Humanity, it's so much fun! Sounds like a fun night.

That's good that you heard from Koen! Why are guys like that? If you don't pay any attention to them suddenly you hear from them. Typical.

It was amazing! Definitely one of the best times I've had in a while.

Haha, that was my first time playing and I absolutely love it. Even though I didn't win any rounds, it was still a load of fun.

Guys are confusing. That's all there is to it. I wish Koen would quit playing games with me though because I'm getting quite sick of it.

Aww honey it sounds like you had such a good time at the concert. Maroon 5 are amazing. She Will Be Loved is my favourite song of theirs ♥ glad it was great for you.

So much to say but oh my goodness, 23 in just two days. Where on earth is the time going? I think you was only what, 16 or 17 when we first started talking? How quickly time is going!

It was honestly the best time I have had in a very long time. I had been looking forward to this since the summer and couldn't believe it when it was finally happening. Definitely want to see them again live the next time they tour here.

Time is flying, that's for sure. I cannot believe I'll be twenty three tomorrow. It kind of makes me scared that in two years time I'll be a quarter of a century haha.

Hey watch it, I'm a quarter of a century already :p imagine how I feel being 26 next month! haha

I'm so glad that you had a good time at the concert. I kept thinking about you every time Maroon 5 came on my iPhone at work.

I just heard about Cards Against Humanity. I heard it as a hilarious game and I'm interested to see what it's about.

Boys are...something else. That's all I have to say.
